The Reality of Cluster Headaches Therapy

When mainstream conventional treatments prove ineffective or cause distressing side effects, the question looms: must we resign ourselves to the pain, sacrificing our happiness? This is a skeptical question asked by those afflicted with cluster headaches, pondered at Cluster Buster’s meetings, runs, international headache conferences, and pain symposiums – a question we ourselves have asked for 23 years.

In our journey to treat migraines and cluster headaches (CH), we ventured beyond conventional views and approaches. Our intensive research into the pattern of CH shed light on its causes and suspected triggers. We embarked empirically with one patient in 2016 and concluded our clinical trial for Cluster Headaches in December 2022, registered under ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier NCT04845451.

Data collected over 370 days revealed long-term relief of cluster headache symptoms after a one-time procedure. Participants no longer experienced explosive symptoms or required drugs, oxygen, or psilocybin supplements. The promising outcome of the initial approach in April 2016 encouraged us to replicate it, and so we did.

We tested this hypothesis through an analysis of Cluster Headaches triggers and attack paths in our clinical trial, redefining the understanding of cluster headaches by diagnosing the presence of a wild neuroma or nerve bundle in the elongation of the Zygomaticotemporal nerve and its subsequent excision. Regrettably, this procedure is currently exclusively available at our headache clinic. As life comprises daily choices, we have made ours: to dedicate ourselves to curing headaches, including Chronic and Episodic Cluster Headaches (CECH), and to restore happiness to our patients. Now, we can confidently say that WE CURE CLUSTER HEADACHES.
